On September 18, 2004, Pitt In Hollywood brought students to the David Lawrence Convention Center for an event featuring famed television writer/producer David Hollander. In 2001, David created The Guardian for CBS. His show, set in Pittsburgh, chronicled the life of a lawyer going to work as a child advocate. David addressed our captive audience about the life of a Hollywood showrunner and the work required to run a successful television series. Additionally, David let us into his process for writing an episode. Afterwards, there was a question and answer session and a viewing of an episode of The Guardian.
